Description

Day 01: Airport – Kumai – Tanjung Harapan Camp

We will pick you up at the airport or hotel in Pangkalan Bun, then drive to Kumai by airport taxi (approximately 20 minutes), passing several local villages. Upon arrival in Kumai, the journey continues by boat along the Sekonyer River while lunch is prepared on board. Enjoy river cruising through mangroves, nipa palms, and wildlife habitats. Your first orangutan encounter begins with a jungle trek at Tanjung Harapan Camp. Get your camera ready, as you may also spot wild orangutans swinging between trees along the way. In the late afternoon, observe proboscis monkeys and other primates along the river. Overnight on the boat.

Day 02: Pondok Tanggui – Camp Leakey

Breakfast will be served on the boat at 07:30 AM. Continue upriver to Pondok Tanggui to witness orangutan feeding around 09:00 AM. After visiting the feeding area, sail further upriver to Camp Leakey. Enjoy a jungle walk to observe orangutans during feeding time. Afterward, cruise downstream while spotting wildlife such as proboscis monkeys and long-tailed macaques. After dinner, experience night trekking around Tanjung Harapan to find nocturnal animals such as tarsius, tarantulas, snakes, and birds. Overnight on the boat.

Day 03: Jungle Trekking & Canoeing on Black River

After breakfast, enjoy jungle trekking through the rainforest for approximately 2–3 hours. Continue with a canoe trip along the Black River to spot birds and other wildlife in a peaceful natural setting. Lunch will be served on the boat. In the afternoon, visit a traditional village in Tanjung Harapan for sightseeing and interaction with local people. Later, cruise down the river to witness fireflies glowing on nipa palms.

Day 04: House Boat – Long House – Airport

After breakfast, return to Kumai Jetty. Continue the journey to Pasir Panjang Village to visit a traditional long house. After the visit, transfer to Pangkalan Bun Airport for your next destination. Tour ends.
